What do we need to post an employee to Sweden from another country?
Updated · Facts checked against the official sources below
A posted worker stays employed abroad while working in Sweden. Within the EU, an A1 certificate shows which country's social insurance applies, and the posting must be reported to the Swedish Work Environment Authority before the work starts, with a contact person in Sweden. A non-EU citizen also needs a permit, such as an intra-company transfer permit.
In detail
- An A1 certificate for social insurance within the EU, EEA, Switzerland and the UK.
- Report the posting to the Work Environment Authority before the worker starts.
- A contact person in Sweden, reported with the posting.
- A permit for non-EU citizens.
