Can an employee start working before the work permit is granted?
Updated · Facts checked against the official sources below
Not on a first permit: the person needs a granted permit before starting work. For an extension filed before the current permit ends, they can usually keep working while it is decided.
In detail
- First permit: wait for the decision.
- Extension filed in time: work continues.
- Extension filed late: the right to work lapses.
How Settio helps
